NJ CEED Partnership Shore Memorial Hospital The New Jersey Cancer Education and Early Detection (NJ CEED) Program, funded by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the New Jersey Tobacco Settlement, provides breast, cervical, prostate and colorectal cancer education and screening services to eligible people who are of low income and noninsured or underinsured.
Therefore, RNS's $50,000 donation (2001) allows Shore Memorial
Hospital to sub-contract with local healthcare providers, such as the
RNS Mobile Mammography Program, and other not-for-profit, community-based
minority organizations to provide cancer-related services. The RNS funding
has been used to provide the appropriate, quality healthcare services
to every person screened via the NJ CEED Program, who needed further diagnostic
procedures, anesthesia and/or treatment for cancer. | |
